Meet Our Team

Dr Jeetandera Rathi

Dr Jeetandera Rathi

MBBS, MRCP (UK), MRCP (Lon), MCFP(Can), MICGP

Dr Rathi, or Sonu as we call him, is a graduate from UCC Cork GP Specialist Training Scheme. He moved to Cork in 2007, from London where he completed his clinical fellowship in Rheumatology and Osteoporosis. He has worked in various medical specialities, before embarking on his General Practice Career. He has made Cork his home, with his wife who is also a GP, and his baby daughter.

He has special interest in musculosketal and sports injuries, mental health, and adolescent medicine.

He is an author of many peer review papers and has interest in teaching and research. He recently authored a patient and GP information booklet on “Living with Gout” for the Arthritis Ireland Association.

Dr Louise Smyth

MB, BCh, BAO, DObs, DipDerm, MICGP

Dr Louise Smyth, trained in UCD medicine from 2002-2008, honours degree. She did her intern year in St. Vincents Hospital in Dublin and then worked in Emergency Department in The Royal Hospital in Perth , Western Australia for one year.

She has worked in various medical specialities in Dublin, before moving back to Cork.

Louise has a special interest in dermatology, paediatrics, and women’s health such as Mirena and Implanon insertion and removal.

Catherine Forde

Catherine Forde

Practice Manager

Catherine has over 23 years experience, at Carrig Medical Centre, having started as a receptionist, to now being Practice Manager for many years, managing a team of Doctors, nurses and receptionists.
